CONTEXT

Through its partnership with Agrisud, Club Med has been progressively modifying its supply chain since 2009 to create and share more values locally.

In Indonesia, the project operates with Club Med Bali village, in Bedugul area, in the center of the island.

In this territory, family farms face many challenges regarding their production: securing access to water in the dry season, reducing the systematic use of chemical inputs that damage soil quality…

At the same time, families are struggling to find stable and lucrative markets for their agricultural products.

It is in this context that Agrisud has been working with its partners since 2013.

OBJECTIVES

Developing local supply chains according to a win-win principle:

RESULTS

  • 2 groups of family farms supported: the Bukit Mesari group since 2014 and the Buana Sari group since 2021
  • 1 agro-ecological fruit and vegetable supply chain set up with Club Med Bali Village (80 t sold on average each year)
  • 1 commercial partnership established between farm groups and Club Med Bali Village
